its not hard to see why it wont be hard to beat romney, bush was a c student, romney isnt much better. you gotta listen to how he talks...he doesnt hear himself when he speaks and comes off as very abrasive. he's successfully rubbed much of the country in the wrong way, so he's nailing himself in his own coffin.

It's not just what Technics says, it's also that he's not exciting the Conservative base, or attractive to independents OR disenfranchised democrats. The ONLY reason I've ever heard for why I conservative would vote for Romney is that they are excited for ANYONE to replace Obama (OK I've met one person who was an adamant Romney supporter, ONE)

That's one reason that, as a strict fiscal conservative, I'm focusing my attention on the Congressional elections and supporting Gary Johnson on the Libertarian ticket.

We (conservatives) can better deal with 4 more years of Obama, if we win the Senate than getting a terrible Republican elected.

Doing that would destroy the party long term, and I truly believe Romney would be a terrible president - basically just as bad as Obama.

Boney526:
I heard Rush state some time back that the republican strategy was to have Romney as the candidate so the republicans could take over the senate.
Rush is right something like 98.7% of the time.

Technics;
So what were Obamas grades? Oh they are sealed.
Obama has rubbed many in this country the wrong way also.
May have an even match for the presidency. I stated before that I thought Romney leans liberal.
Lets see what Romneys campaign strategy is after he officialy wins the nomination. We may just find he can talk liberal too.
I will wager Romney can talk up the Mexican voter to vote for him too.
May end up deciding between two liberals.

Seems like a somewhat reasonable strategy, although I'd like to point out that my focus is on getting REAL conservatives and REAL Libertarians into Congress, not just any Republicans.

Although if I knew that there would be no real Conservatives or Libertarians, then I'd at least prefer the Executive and Legislative branches to be of opposing parties, preventing Washington from passing as much horrible legislation.

Technics,
JAP is right, you can't debate Bush and Romney's grades in college when Obama had his records locked up so no one can see what kind of student he was. Ya gotta wonder though, if he had good grades, would he want them hidden from everybody?
Romney's a good businessman and that's what we need. Obama's in waaaay over his head.

Boney,
Whether we're excited about Romney or excited about getting rid of Obama makes no difference. The important thing is that we're excited and anxious to defeat this guy.
And we will.
Don't underestimate the Tea Party.

Boney,
This country won't survive another 4 years of Obama. Think of Supreme Court appointments. You say a Romney Presidency would destroy the party. Well an Obama Presidency would destroy the country. And if enough of you guys waste your votes on Johnson, we'll get saddled with Numbnuts for another 4 years.

(Yes, I am scared of Obama's appointments... Sotamayor? Are you kidding? She's not qualified at all)

The thing is, it does matter. Maybe most Republicans will vote for Romney anyway, but there are a lot of independents and libertarians who simply won't.

And he'd have to do something drastic to get me to vote for him.

The thing is, I have little confidence Romney will win, and even if he does, I have little confidence that he'll be much better. Romney's work in the private sector was fine, but I am no fan of his career in the public sector.

Boney,
Sotomayor? How about the little waddling fireplug, Kagan?
Then vote for Romney for the sake of the Supreme Court if you don't like him. You know Obama will put another young America-hater in there and we'll be screwed for generations.
Throwing your vote away on someone who has absolutely no chance of winning is crazy at this critical time.

Barry likes the gay marriage now, he gets an "A" for flip flopping again. He definitely is going after the black vote with that move. TY Joe Biden!
