This is getting rediculous

Read this blog or don't, I don't care. If you're hogging the boards with inane and multiple posts in a short period of time you might not want to read it.

One example...I checked the pick 4 forum at 2:15 this afternoon. Between 10:39 A.M. and 2:11 P.M., one member posted 8 of the 10 threads on my active topic list (since my last visit about 9 A.M. today) and is the last responder to EVERY SINGLE ONE of those posts as of 2:11 P.M.

We have a new member now who is equally as loquacious and I put them on my total block list immediately.

DO NOT TELL ME I DON'T HAVE TO READ YOUR POSTS...YOUR NAMES ARE ALL OVER THE SITE AND IF I HAVE TO READ YOUR NAMES IT'S NOT BLOCKING YOU AS I WISH. IT IS ONLY INCREASING MY DISPLEASURE WITH THIS SITE.

There should be a limit to forum posts per day regardless of membership status. If 33,000 members posted 30 posts a day these forums would be totally useless, which they have actually become. That would be about a million posts per day.

The egos, so-called "polls", non-lottery related bitching against the world, people, governments, etc. appearing on these forums are a real turn-off to the serious lottery players on this site which I'm assuming most of us are trying to be. None of us need the high blood pressure stimulants from these people.

33,000 members and a handfull of those members cannot seem to figure out how to organize their posts in a compact, concise and efficient manner, put them in the right location and who think way too highly of themselves, some of them hating every other person in the world, using the forums for non-lottery BS instead of their blog where it belongs.

Thanks to Todd for the other features available here at LP because if it was just these "forums" I would not be here right now.

Rick I think a lot of this is due to the ''top poster'' heading listed by people's name and avatar. People throw up stuff just to stay in the top list. Heck we could even get ride of the number of posts heading. It doesn't matter if you have 4,000 posts, if their all garbage. Also maybe people are bored and have nothing to so they just add nonsense. Just my opinion.

Bev, thank you....I think there's a lot of us who agree with this.

Eddie, good suggestion about the "top" number of posts listed. That might alleviate some of the garbage on here. It wouldn't bother me one iota. I'm a top 50 poster because I've been here awhile but I would have that erased in a second if it helped.

I'm here for lottery, not world turmoil, egos or idiocy.

We are here to hit numbers. Not to be top system. She panics when other systems get the spotlight and it does something to her. What a pathetic creature.

sometimes i think it might be someone lonely or just bored.some people do nothing but stay on the internet 24/7.i get on here in the mornings and doodle a little bit and then i'm done.my main thing is the prediction board here.i love the challenge.

Thanks to all the "old timers" who agree. Bluegrass said it best...as long as the membership grows (which is a good thing for Todd and the site which I have no problem with), the more people we will have adding nonsense to and hogging the forums.

I'm sorry I beefed about it but it is true...I hardly ever check the forums any longer. It has become a waste of time. Just like wading through the garbage at the lottery newsgroup site. (Nothing personal to R.P., it is the clientele I'm referring to).

My formula is 10% of any group are contrary to the other 90%. There is a word for these people, but in respect to Todd and the site I won't use it.

It is a shame because there is a direct correllation between the member's membership number and the amount of posts they make. The older the member, the less posts they make and the newer the member, the more posts they make. IMHO the people who have been here and at Maybell's for years have contributed the most to these sites and now you don't even hear from them anymore. Unfortunate because in the good old days there was an honest exchange of ideas to help us win the lottery. Now 99% of the posts will not help you to win at this game and you would have to be retired and on the computer 24 hours a day here to catch a snatch of a good idea.

These "diarhea mouths" are the same type of people who are constantly talking on their cell phones while driving and can't seem to figure out that when the light is green you are supposed to progress further in the roadway without the driver behind you prompting you to do so with a horn blast. So this blog entry was my "horn blast" for what it's worth.
