“Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs,"
________________________________________
Those programs have been expanded since their inception beyond the scope of what they were originaly intended. Social security is a joke from its original beginning.
Who is talking about eliminating unemployment insurance and labor laws?
Farm programs are a joke these days on who collects subsidies. People buy homesites in Texas that were farms that had cotton subsidies that were busted up into a couple acre lots that. The lots come with the cotton subsidy and the homeowner collects money for not growing cotton and they do not have any intentions of farming the land. Just file the paper work and collect money, I could go on if I look up other farm subsidy scams.

When you think about it, the Republicans always were the real rebels.
Slavery was the status quo with the Democrats and the Republicans rebelled against it.
