Well, i guess the attackers will say this is phony too. People are just getting sick of broken promises that are piling up.
Get them all out and start anew.
He didn't get ONE Democrat vote for the budgets he's submitted!
Not ONE!
Even the dopey Dems know he's incompetent.
Liberals have a very hard time recognizing events outside of the bubble they live in. They haven't a clue about the way most of America thinks, because they view the rest of America as "stupid" and "racist" -- unworthy of their attention.
Just like the evening of the election in 1980, when Carter got walloped. All the newscasts were totally stunned that Carter lost so badly. Why would the country elect such a "stupid" conservative like Reagan?
(Of course, these are the same people who now join in with the rest of use who recognized his greatness, intelligence, and leadership qualities at the time. People like Sam Donaldson who now go around saying that Reagan was a great president, but at the time treated him like dog crap.)
The liberal media are the ones who pushed the term "trickle down economics", and it was a derisive term. So it's not surprising that if that's the way you think about it that you don't like it.
In fact, supply-side economics (the proper term) is what propelled the economy within 2-3 years out of the Carter-era malaise. Unfortunately, because Reagan had to deal with a Democrat-held Congress he had to negotiate and settle on too-high government spending.
The media spent Reagan's entire 8 years constantly spreading negative news stories about homelessness and crime. They did everything in their power to convince the American people that Reagan's financial policies were bad, because Reagan stood for a smaller federal government. Liberals (i.e., the media) on the other hand have always stood for larger government and socialist policies.
If you remember those days, then you certainly remember all the stories about homeless people, no doubt. Well, assuming you do, then you're remembering LIBERAL PROPAGANDA. There was no sudden up-tick in homelessness -- it actually went down, due to the much better economy the Reagan helped create.
Just like you stated about Bushes years and everything he did was wrong, have you also forgotten the congress was then Democratic and the majority of things had gotten worse, because they wouldn't pass bills that were put before them.? Ring a bell, or are you going to say that's false also.
If you were in the Military, you would know this man hasn't got a clue. His Military is weak compared to other Presidents policies.
His work ethics as a Jr. Senator should bestow upon you what he capable of.
He is inexperienced in all of his duties and everyone is starting to see the real deal...
They then started 2 wars, gave 3 tax cuts mostly to the rich, passed TARP and a prescription drug boondoggle to the drug industry and Paid for NONE of it.
Reagan undermined Carter by cutting a deal with the Mullahs of Iran to hold the hostages until he gained the Presidency and he in return will sell them missiles, and biological agents and the means to deliver them to use on Iraq in that long war they were losing.
Reagan gave 1 tax cut pre 1982 and 11 tax increases post 82
Todd Thinks that Michael Reagan IS Liberal too and that trickle down worked when the money, like under W,was cascading up!
Reagan closed homeless shelters,Mental Health Institutions as well as orphanages to try and pay for his tax cuts to the 1% and passed the Social Security Reform Act increasing the income levels taxed to go into the SS funds which he then borrowed in attempts to hide his REAL budget deficits on his way to tripling the national debt in 8 years what it took all the presidents before him to accrue in 200+years.

Let me tell you about the Military Black. FO
I was a Military Policeman, before I decided to join The Army's
Special Forces ( Green Beret ) . I went to VietNam and spent 4 1/2 tours of duty there. I came back to the tune of people calling all veterans from VietNam, war mongers and Baby Killers. It was alright for people LIKE you to say those things, because you couldn't care less about those babies killing our troops. I went in to the Service in 1966 and came out in 1974, as a Sgt E-6. Now I know what pieces of crap I was fighting for. I fought along side of different nationalities and watched as soldiers died for the likes of you, That's what I know about patriotism also. What the hell do you know about patriotism besides holding a flag when a parade comes by?
You're an economist by trade, no Friggin wonder where in the proverbial crapper with the likes of you and your friends..
@ sorpio
Not intimidation tactics at all , in reality it's a lack of RESPECT for those who thinks their SH-- doesn't stink. And by the way, I'm going to the wall this week-end since you asked with a lot of my Biker friends who do have respect for our Veterans and show it every year with this ride...!
@ Bobbya:
You're still wet behind the ears chump.
Likely made up because tours in NAM were 1 year and they wouldn't allow even a Green Beret to extend 3 times.
I too served in country 1965-66 1st Cav and came back wearing full dress uniform of the day and was NOT spit on one time or called ANY derogatory names.
Maybe because I lived in a northern Democrat state and Not southern Republican state at the time.
So loser, your lies about your service or return impresses no one but those that never served and don't know any better.
You know! All those right-wing Chicken Hawks!
How do you feel about those 58,000 troops dying for nothing since the U.S opened up trade with Communist North Viet Nam and gave favorite nation status to China who trained and armed the NVR and Viet Cong who killed those troops?
Read before you open you trap dirtbag, I arrived in vietnam in october of 1966. Tours of duty were 6 months not 1 year.
Hence: 4 1/2 tours, two were voluntary. If you were in Nam, you weren't with the 1st Cav. You were with the 1st Air Cav and you were part of the 101st Airbourne Div. What company were you in?
I don't have to lie to make myself look good as you do chump.
You were home if you came home at all from Nam as you say you did in 1966. My last tour of duty was in 1969 when I came home in the midst of the Peace movement, and don't tell me what I heard and saw
Your time frame 3 tours @ 1 year= 36 months.
Mine was 4 1/2 tours @ 6months= 30 months in country.
Where were you first stationed at in Nam when you went over or is that to hard to remember...!
Also, it was Lyndon B. Johnson ( democrat ) who activated the 1st Air Cav and sent then to Nam, right Homie...??
does more than solidify your retardation as well.
No, not at all a 1 %er. Just 100 % sure you'll be sucking wind in November if you can gather up enough strength to make it that far old timer.
Tors were 1 year for the regular Army in Nam.Maybe Special Forces was different because of their mostly isolated lengthy operations with no reprieve from the combat stress.
I arrived in country Oct.65 just in time to participate in operation Silver Bayonet and was stationed at An Khe.
I was redeployed to Nam from the 38th parallel in South Korea where i served with the 1st Cav as a border guard.
The 1st cav was pulled from Korea back to the states and received some jungle warfare training and combined with the 101st Airborne by Johnson and renamed Air Cav but we never attended jump school and earned the wings.
I was in an Infantry rifle squad where I carried a M-79 grenade launcher and Army 45 sidearm.
It was Republican President Eisenhower that sent the 1st military advisers to Viet Nam after the French gave up.
When I returned home Oct.66 there was no peace movement because the conflict with full troop deployment was not even 2 years old yet and the people had not become weary of a conflict that was un-winable.
If there were a draft NOW Iraq and Afghanistan would have ended long ago.
How do you feel about your republican government opening up trade with Communist Viet Nam and thereby making mine and yours comrades in arms lives taken all for nothing. All 58,000 of them.
How about them selling out America to Communist China, giving them favored nation status after they had trained and armed the NVR and gave them the weapons they used to kill those 58,000 and the finances to continue?
I was a draftee on my first tour of duty and in November of 1966 our tours of duty were 6 months. I re-enlisted 5 months after my commitment ended.
My first tour landed me in Tay Ninh, the on to An loc. During my tours I stayed on the move in all corps sectors.
I too carried carried a 45, along with C-4 and an AK-47 from which I confiscated in Plei Me.
I didn't care too much for politics then because every member of congress and Senate made money on the black market with out any regard to life. No different in Nam or as it was in every other war. Fund the war by both sides and then tax the public to rebuild.
Barry is no better than anyone else...!
To be exact, 58,260 lives were lost...
go look it up... July 11, 1995 President Bill Clinton announced the formal normalization of diplomatic relations to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
There is A petition going around to have trade stopped with Vietnam, look it up, and your homeboy bammy, won't even acknowledge it...
