Obama, on the other hand, wants us to be the whippin' boy of the world.

The military is the only place he ever wants to cut spending.

This world is too dangerous for that.

And think of the jobs that will be created too.

And the renewal of the genuine sense of pride to be an American that Obama is trying to do away with in his mission to make us the same as everybody else on earth.

Patriotic Americans will be so glad to see him leaving soon. We are an exceptional nation of exceptional people and he wants to end that. In his socialist utopia, everybody is the same, except for the Elites of the Ruling Class (like him).

Good riddance.

There has always been a need for military forces ever since the first rock was thrown.
If you are weak in your military forces it is a no win deal.

and guess who would pay for that, the 99ers,and soon if we run out of oil a war will be started for some reason to get their oil, whether it's iran,etc..poor american boys will pay the price, not the wealthys kids.

No, scorpio, the 99%ers will not pay for it. Because half of them don't pay any taxes all.
So you're off the hook.
The 51%ers will pay for everything like we always do.
You got no skin in the game, so what you say doesn't really matter.

We won't run out of oil, but we do need to be the Superior MUSCLE, NO one will screw with us no matter how much money we owe them, ( HOPE THE FEDERAL LISTENING), HEHE

@rdgrnr - Great response, that's exactly right. Most people who would complain about a better military are not paying federal income taxes, so they have no skin in the game. Excellent analysis.

Every single person who earns income should pay SOMETHING, so that everyone has some skin in the game. It doesn't matter if it's $1.00, everyone should pay something and participate in the funding of their government.

It's very easy to sit back and complain about something that you have no part in. But once you are actually contributing yourself, it is a whole new ballgame, and you absolutely HATE to see your money wasted or misused.

I wonder how the people who pay no tax, would feel if they lost there right to vote.
If they aren't paying for anything, why should they have a say so in how my tax dollars are spent?
Maybe if they were paying, they would vote for people with more integrity.

How can somebody NOT pay taxes? Every time you fill your gas tank, smoke a cigarette, drink a beer or talk on your phone, you're paying federal taxes.

Your income taxes go directly to the Federal Reserve, NOT the US Treasury (check the endorsement on the back of your canceled check). Your income taxes do not pay for the war machine, infrastructure, welfare or anything else except the debt incurred for using federal reserve notes.

Rick G,
Most of the people not paying income tax are on some form of federal assistance. So, in essence, we (the 51%) are enabling or outright paying for their gas, cigarettes, beer, babbling on the phone and all the taxes paid on those things.

This is the entitlement crowd we're talking about, Obama's constituency. They love to whine about what things cost only because they would rather see those funds spent on their lazy asses. But they have no standing because they have no skin in the game. They don't contribute a nickel for anything, they just take, take, take.

There's an old saying that fits this situation: "You don't play the game - you don't make the rules."

@rdgrnr, good point re: fed. assistance paying for those things that are taxed.

we pay more taxes now then ever, property, income.though retired to get any benefits here you have to be in the poverty range which is below 12,000 dollars.no one could live on that a year.we moved from n.j. to esscape high taxes, but other things are higher, gas, heating oil,so no,all of us do pay for any wars, past or present.some with their lives.

No, we don't ALL pay for it, scorpio. You're clinging to that canard simply to have something to whine about.
You're a whiner, it's in your DNA as a liberal. It's what you do.

On another note, I was surprised to hear you left Jersey because of high taxes. Why did you do that? You vote for the people who give you the highest taxes in the country and then you leave? Why? And now that a Republican is lowering them, you'll probably move back and start voting for Democrats who will raise them again if elected. Do you see how utterly crazy you libs are? Seriously, do you?

It's like all the Democrats who leave the high-tax northern states and come to TN because we have no state income tax. And guess what they do when they get here? That's right! They start voting for Democrats who want to institute a state income tax! Why are you people so frigging CRAZY?

There's only one reason why anyone would want higher taxes, thats because they think they will somehow benefit.
Nobody and I mean nobody, says take more from me so I can struggle.
So if your for higher taxes, it's because you think you'll benefit.
