Buying an entire lottery scratch off book? Good/bad idea?

Published:

I am from NY , Long Island to be exact and I recently bought two books of the $ 5scratch game Million Dollar Scratch.  It costs me $500.00 a book.  I was so addicted to the game when it first came out because I was always winning, but small stuff like $50. & $100 almost always. Well I must say I learned my lesson that this was truly GAMBLING!!!! After the $1000. 00 purchase I came out with one quarter of the money

bad idea as it would cost you 5 times what you would win.states aren't stupid,it's a big money winning scheme for them.

From what I've read from other members who try that is that the most you can usually expect to recoup is about half of what the book costs.
Unless you catch one of the big winners.

I realized that now ;((( after all the lost money. I had my heart set on that million dollar scratch game. The store clerk knew I loved it and kept saying this book def.must have the BIG WINNER, and i kept using my savings and buying obviously no winners, all losers , just $5 or 10. 20. One 50. I lost way more than I spent. I seem to do better on Take Five or $1or $2 games. I learned the hard way. It seems to be pure luck for the people who win big. I had a friend who never plays and bought one ticket and won 5000. So I don't know. Guess that's why it's called gambling ;)

I would like to add to my blog that today I went to cash in my take five ticket ($25.50, I am grateful for anything at his point ) at another store where I also knew the clerk, unfortunately everyone knows me I am a Lotto addict, and told him what I did in the other( purchasing the two books) . He even said "bad idea" . He told me the books are circulated throughout NY and the clerk should of never encouraged me to keep going and saying that the winner "could" be in there. It was my choice , but i felt like i was tempted by the clerk saying all my winners are always in the fri t of the book, keep going. The clerk was ready to open a third one. Thank God I did not buy it!!! I will never return . That store lost me as a customer. All my other Lotto games will be played elsewhere. I just wanted to tell other people on the site about my experience . Maybe it will help others. It's truly luck if you get a winner. Save your$ don't buy the books .

Bad idea, you never win back on scratch offs, unless you hit that one SPECIAL LUCKY SCRATCH OFF. Better chance of being struck by lightening. Save your $$$$$$

If i was going to go nuts and buy a book it would be the sweet millions scratchoffs...there must be some jackpots out there somewhere...scratchoffs are a lot of work...and they are real messy...
but you might as well as just play some of CW4 sets...he is good once in a while for a 3/5 or 4/5
