If the President really wants to help state and local governments, he'd campaign with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel for pension reform. Or he'd join Mayor Chuck Reed in San Jose to praise that city's voters for passing a reform referendum this week. Both mayors are Democrats.

The fair if depressing takeaway from Mr. Obama's press conference is that he continues to believe, despite three and a half years of failure, that more government spending is the key to faster growth and that government really doesn't need to reform. This is how you get a jobless rate above 8% for 40 months and the weakest economic recovery in 60 years.

What I continue to shake my head in amazement for is, I can't believe a man (" O ") who has so much education, that he still believes policies for the past 3 1/2 years are better than what has WORKED before..! Has he been on vacation for the past
3 1/2 years? IMO, he has taken all of his education and thrown it out the window of opportunity.
To me, he's like a West Point Graduate that has gone into War, and with all his education without any formal experience, and doesn't use any commonsense when it comes to a tactical situation, therefore resulting in many lives lost because he lacked the common sense to 2+2 together and ultimately losses his own life.
Incompetentcy is a by-product of EGO...!

Do you mean the press conference that was labeled an EMERGENCY press conference and scheduled for 10:15 am but not attended by the president until 10:40 and containing no EMERGENCY??
