Well if it's to give everybody access to 911 for emergencies than that's all it should be able to do then is call 911.
We don't need to be paying for minutes for fat-mouthin' with friends and texting drug dealers.

Ten to one says that ridge is right, but he left out, their pimps and whores. My step-son has one and he's a 50-year old, free loading drunk. How many millions like him, have this phone?

I'm willing to bet money, Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson and each member of their families have one!!

There must be a reason why they want as many people as possible to have cell phones. It's proven that cell phones pose health risks to their users. Every cell phone has a working microphone and GPS as long as it has a battery in it. Maybe these are the real reasons behind the giveaway and not to help the po' folks out at all. Or is it to receive our Big Brother announcements and instructions?
(Suggested reading: 'Cell', by Stephen King, where cell phones trigger a zombie apocalypse.)

They are to track the activities of and monitor those that have them!
I doubt that Al Sharpton nor Jesse Jackson want that.
How much do you want to bet CARBOB?
