No, you can make people appear to say anything you want if you know what you're doing with today's technology. And mediamatters is VERY unreliable. And the founder is a documented nutjob.
Although it could be true (and really, who cares?), coming from mediamatters just puts a cloud of doubt over that prospect because nobody really takes mediamatters seriously.
So we'll just have to put this story in the "extremely doubtful" bin.
