They just create more.
A Republican administration cause the 1st Great Depression.
There were 3 Recessions during the Reagan-Bush1 Regimes when they quadrupled the national debt from what it took ALL Presidents before them to accrue in 200 years.
The only President to EVER balance the budget was Democrat Bill Clinton who left Dumbya Bush a 900 billion budget surplus too which he and his Republican Congress promptly blew on their way to doubling the national debt in just 6 years and leaving President Obama a trillion dollar budget deficit when they were thrown out along with their Recession which became Their Great Depression when their final spending bill was accounted for in the treasury because of their war spending that they hid off the books which This president counted.
