Religious persecution never seems to work out too well in the end.

Obama may well come to the same realization that Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto of the Japanese Empire did on December 7, 1941 after the attack on Pearl Harbor: "I fear that we have awakened a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve."

Or to put it in everyday American terms:

"Payback's a bitch."
