If RomneRyan makes an issue of the rising national debt as JAP69 says then the President will have to point out The FACT that the Bush administration with a Republican Controlled House writing the spending bills and a Republican controlled Senate passing them and A republican President named George W. Bush signing all of them for his 1st six years in office leading to a doubling of the national debt from 5.5 trillion dollars to 11 trillion.
They might even have to mention the Reagan-Bush regimes in 12 years quadrupling The National Debt from what it took all presidents and 200 years before them to accrue.
Republican Presidents AND Congress ARE RESPONSIBLE for 11 trillion dollars or 2/3 of the current National Debt!
