Be very careful with polls. Years ago I believed in what they reported. Over the last twenty years or so I have come to look upon polls (even those I agreed with) as being suspect. Carter, on election day, held an 8 point lead over Reagan. We know how that worked out.

The only poll that matters is the one on election day.

What I've learned over the years with polls is that most of them are done under the auspices of liberals, just like the news media, and are intentionally skewed to favor their preferred candidates in a deliberate attempt to dishearten the opposition.

I think that 8 point lead for Carter on election day was indicative of what I'm saying. They were trying to get the Conservatives to think that there was no use voting because Reagan was so far behind. 99% of the pollsters are about as trustworthy as the New York Times or MSNBC when it comes to telling the truth. You'll never see the Conservative numbers inflated though.

I think the only constant you can count on is the "pollster's bump" for the Democrats. Democrats have taken lying and deceit to an art form. All done with a wink and a nudge to their fellow Democrats.
