Why Do We Blame Teachers?
Published:
Comments
Cuz they're overpaid union loafers who turn out stupider kids every year.
And naturally, 99% of them are Democrats, which makes them very rude and demanding and unlikeable.
That said, unions are doing to education what they did to manufacturing here in the states. Tenure needs to be eliminated and teachers evaluated as any employee is evaluated at any job. If their students are failing, the job needs to be evaluated and determined if that teacher is in control of the classroom. Respect in the classroom should be taught at an early age, reinforced from home. The problem in urban schools is lack of support at home. This does not justify teachers receiving 30%+ pay increases and minimal contribution to their healthcare coverage.
If teachers would apply as much emphasis to the classroom as they do to their pocketbooks, we might see an improvement in education. Education is not a job. Education is the future of this country.
