The writer is biased.
Discrimination based on race is wrong no matter who it favors or punishes.
Punishing the great grandchildren or great great grandchildren of people who used to discriminate or people whose families weren't even here while it was going on purely because of their skin color is ridiculous and just as outrageous as the original discrimination.
Fairness doesn't mean getting revenge against everyone who is the same color as the original discriminators.
It means ending all discrimination against everybody.
But as usual, the ones who benefitted from discrimination in the days of old and now are fine with it.
And society suffers because the best and brightest are not allowed to rise to their full potential and others get jobs they didn't qualify for just because their skin is the right color.
Affirmative Action is racial discrimination and discrimination based on race is wrong.
Period.
No race of people should be punished for something someone else did just because they're the same color.

Know we have reverse disceimination !! I agree you can't hold us accountable for our Greaat Great Great Grandfathers did ... If thats is so then we owe the Native Americans a Great Deal more then we could ever owe the African Americans ...This country is theirs , not Ours !

First, anyone who knows world history, knows many had the great oppurtunity to be slaves, oppressed, etc, this is not indicitive of black americans.
second, I worked in a bank vault many years ago, probably 25 years or so ago.
They had affirmative action, the white girls had to do 18 bags an hour and the black girls had to do 15 bags per hour, DOESN'T ANYONE SEE HOW INSULTING THIS IS?
