Happy Veterans Day

Published:

Here is my Veteran's Day Message:
I have purposely been quiet leading up to the election and waited until the aftermath to finally speak on this matter. As Veteran's Day approaches and with ffamily who put their life on the line in defense of the nation, my heart is really sadden by the hateful vile from both sides and extreme racist rant that I have seen from postings on LP, Facebook and Twitter (If you like for me to share some examples, I will gladly repost the trash I have seen) simply because the election did not go the way they wanted. I also saw a picture of soldiers attacking the White House with the intention of overthrowing the government if the election did not go a certain way. This is borderline treason.

Military personnel took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the process worked Tuesday night, as set up by the document from our founding fathers. No where in that document does it say that we need to take up arms if the electoral process does not work out the way you wanted, nor draw up documentations to leave the union. This is the process that is outline in the Constitution, I suggest that we respect it.

To those that are on the Republican side, here is the question that needs to be asked - what is it about your brand that caused 94% of African American voters, 69% of Hispanic voters, 73% of Asian voters and 50% of the military voters in Norfolk, VA to go against you? Second question - if your party is what is best for the ENTIRE NATION, why did you lose the mid terms in 06, the White House in 08 and 12? You will need to do some deep soul searching to answer that question and stop throwing nasty vile out because you lost the election. Apparently, there is something wrong in your message.

To those that are on the Democratic side, here is the question that also needs to be asked- although the electoral college gave President Obama an overwhelming victory, do not misinterpret what happen Tuesday night. Half of the country did not vote for the President and the vast majority of these people are not racist, are good people and  have legitimate concerns with our current financial situation. They also should have a say on what happens to this nation going forward.  I would also say that there is something wrong with your message, because again, half the country did not vote your way.

I have always been able to think independent of party influence and vote the candidate of my choice. Bbecause in my limited time here that God has granted me, I have usually found that when you have two polar opposites with opposing viewpoints, somewhere in the MIDDLE is the truth. As a supporter of this President (Yes, I am supporting him and voted for him), not only do we all need the President to be successful for the benefit of the country.  I also support him as our Commander in Chief (CNC). Happy Veterans Day to all who have served this great nation so we can have have this process and GOD BLESS THE ENTIRE PLANET that he has given us.

Well stated DBello! The election is over and not all of us will like who is elected. It seems the hysteria just never ends, and for thsoe who think the world is ending because of Obama'e re-election, well maybe their lives were not that great to begin with.
Nothing about any President could ever change my life. Families have learned to endure and accept whoever is elected throughout their terms, without feeling their lives were so ruined and so doomed.
The racists comments, the hatred and nastiness is shameful.
There are people on LP that do not hesitiate to insult the intelligence of others simply because they don't agree with them. Some of thesame people follow one another on each others blogs and pat them on the back with the same old rhetoric. There was a time in history when people could respect others opinions, religion and political leanings, without insulting them or losing them as friends.
What a shame..all this about an election that voters decided, and now those voters are being called ignorant, stupid blind and other childish names, because they dared to think for themselves and not millions of dollars influence their thinking or their votes.

What an insult to Veterans to use Veterans Day to praise a man who left some of them to die when they were under attack in a foreign land and requesting assistance.
I'm a Veteran and I resent it.
You should be ashamed of yourselves.

And dbello, if you have a concern with Management you should PM them about it instead of putting it out all over the place in a condescending manner. That's wrong.

Sorry rdgrnr, I'm not ashamed at all! The pm was done a long time ago with no response. And as far as the content of MY blog, it's just that - my blog.

BTW rdgrnr, if you read carefully and without thrusting something between the lines that's not there, you will not find the "praise" that you seem to think I've given. Your comment falls into the category mentioned as one with an opposing viewpoint, but who seems to conjure up some untruth to bolster their own bruised ego.

In spite of our difference of opinion, I thank you for your service to this country and wish you a good Veterans Day!

So you're a veteran rdgrnr. Your behavior is shameful to any vet The last I checked this is a free country and I can praise anyone I want. Exactly, what is it you're praising Romney for? I have nothing to be ashamed of other than knowing this lottery site has turned into a political, racist, hate haven for a few people who are upset that a fair election gave the POTUS another term. If you survived 8 years of a man who lied about WMD's, causing the deaths of thousands of American troops, you can survive Obama.

@JorliD
STFU, get your ass in the kitchen and make me a pie.
Do it now.

rdgrnr: I look at people like you and I realize that more of you are freely walking the streets than should be. Does my speaking freely upset you? You hate strong women? I feel sad for men like you...wait..you're not a man..just some figure on a lottery website spewing your southern backwoods ignorance. Obama has turned out to be some powerful black man, that he has you and your ilk making comments that prove your tin hat needs some fine tuning. It's called paranoia rdgrnr....there is help for that.
Be cautious today Ridge...they're everywhere...they take on different forms...Obama has sent them to seek you out....oh and it's my dad's birthday today, so instead of pie..we're having cake.

rdgrnr...poor hillbilly..is that all you've got? Telling me to shut up..is that it? My pity for you keeps me from taking you seriously. I understand what you're going through.
Tell you what. Maybe sometime soon, I'll invite you and your sister...uh I mean your wife, for a visit. While you're hear, maybe we can go shootin' critters for vittles, and I'll bake you a rabbit and skunk meringue pie. For real fun, we'll go yonder to the creek and do some hillbilly handfishin'. For even more fun, we can watch Fixed Noise Network. Start hydrating the mule for the long ride to Michigan.

Now that sounds like a big ol' time!
Almost as big as that bulbous forehead on your avatar.
If you're as scary lookin' as that thing, the date is off lil' sister.
I think you just wanna get in my pants anyway.

Ridge there isn't enough whiskey in this country for me to drink, when it comes to the thought of getting in your pants.

Well, there's gotta be some reason that you keep hittin' on me.
Is hubby takin' care of business like he should, if you know what I mean (wink wink, nudge nudge)?
If not, I could let you have my bib overalls to hang on your bedpost and hopefully enough of my testosterone will be lingering to have some effect on him.
