NC Lottery nets $8 million

Lottery Officials gave out three top prizes on friday to first day winners. Richard Garland of Newton won from a Carolina Cash instant win ticket $100,000 minus the taxes. Army Sgt. James Greene won $10,000 with a ticket he purchased in Fayetteville. Steve Moore of Candler won a $5000 prize off the ticket "Tic Tac Toe". The state netted $8 million from $11 million worth of tickets sold from the 5000 retailers on thursday. Source is yahoo news section.-weshar75
