Kinda makes you want to go out and join a union now, doesn't it????? To be a union boss of course, not actually BELONG to a union, right?

Oh yeah, I forgot, to be a union boss you need to have a penis, not a vagina. No women baker union bossettes.

This is the reason why I never passed judgement on those people on strike...you just never know what's really going on. To be very honest, MOST corporations operate the same way with severely over paid management...and too many on the management staff. Then, you've got all those people that want those huge bonuses while the PEOPLE THAT DO ALL THE WORK have to settle for pennies on the dollar   near.

When these companies claim they're not making enough profit, they're lying. They're just not getting the same high dollar bonus they did before...and they're upset so they take it out on the workers. Corporate at its' finest.

It wasn't the union bosses' salaries who caused the people to lose their jobs. The company closed to keep a profit. They had already been in bankruptcy. Walmart did it with their nationwide meat department when the union kept up the pressure. Companies are closing rather than meeting "fair labor practices" and reopening with different names with the same unfair labor practices and same old slave wages. It's senseless because if the Pubs didn't hold the "jobs bill" hostage a lot of companies big and small can not only make a profit but hire as well.

Agreed. What I meant by the salaries deal is that most companies hand out these HUGE BONUSES only to the guys pushing a pen a watching the screen all day. The rest of the players get what's left...trickle down-style. Granted, there's more responsibility up top but, the "field players" make everything happen and should be compensated accordingly. The "trickle down" approach is failing all across the globe.

People don't go on strikes just to be doing something, you know? Take care of your employees, give reasonable incentives, and re-invest into the company. Read somewhere that a Mexican firm might purchase it...should be interesting.
