No way someone said something that dumb, slinky, slinky.

Well, I actually stopped reading the posted comments when I got to "Trikke". See, her comments are taken out of context in that she meant those people which have worked so long and earned. They put in all their lives and should be able to reap while they can. But, the problem is that our spending and deficit is is wrongfully being tied in with social security by the (R's). Look at what Ronald Reagan said about social security and the deficit...perfect sense. But, the (R's) are going directly against what one of their own BEST has said...they wanna cut entitlements as part of the deal.

Now, I've actually listened to a call from a (D) that said they wouldn't mind a small cut in their check but, he was receiving a pretty decent amount, too. Those that don't receive near as much probably cannot afford to lose anything. So, yes, we have a problem and it's better to discuss solutions than who's to blame...because both parties have contributed to this debt and anyone with even 1/4 of a brain knows it.
