Surely the news media will jump all over this and say that Obama is a "loon" and the "craziest man on earth" and mock and ridicule him like they did Mr LaPierre from the NRA for saying the same thing.

NO! There's a difference in saying something in jest and saying something in ignorance. Mr. LaPierre was insensitive. President Obama was not.

Yes, it was very "insensitive" for LaPierre to suggest protecting the children.

And failing to protect the kids will create more grieving parents in the future.

When will you learn that you are part of the problem and not the solution. Violence begets violence...all one needs to do is study history. Placing an armed guard in every school will not make children feel safer. All it will do is increase their lever of anxiety and interfer with their well being and that of their parents.
