The congress acted in both the house and senate. Nothing moved forward.
It is now up to the president to direct the head of the affected agencies to cut in a responsible manner.
That is his job as a responsible leader. Obama will have his governing skills put on display now.
Will the areas in a department be cut for political motivation or be cut responsibly?

There is NO way you can lead, when you continue to BLAME other people for something he should have taken care of in the first place.
Previous Presidents have taken responsibility for their actions without a whimper. Just because you're a President of color, doesn't mean you should still have a pity party..

Once again, being a bitter loser the chicken pissed on the board, knocked over the players, turned it on the floor, blamed it on someone else and danced around like he had won. Pubs are not even fooling themselves, let alone the American people. They played aces and eights, (and they stole the aces thru Tea Party hate) a dead man's hand but presented it as a full house. Unless what is meant by acted is the Republican minorities Obstructionism by not allowing votes and/or threatened filibusters etc!
The Republicans haven't yet figured out that they lost and lost BIG!
The vast majority of Americans aren't buying what they are selling!

The senate failed to act on 2 house bills passed and sent to the senate last year to replace the sequester cuts. Those two bills sat on Reids desk.
I just watched the senate this week debate two bills to modify the sequester and they voted them down.
Obama and the rats owns this sequester.
The sequester was to cut spending and the democrats in the sequester committee demanded tax increases in the negotiations.

Ironically, around this time in 1951 senator Kefauver issued a report saying that there were at least two major crime syndicates in the US.

If that report were issued today he would have to come to the same conclusion - the Democrats and the Republicans!

The Republicans played a dead man's hand when they took jobs and benefits away from the military group. They have guns. Many of them are angry and frustrated already. How many kill themselves everyday? We are talking white men not minorities. They don't even care about their own. Will it all be worth it just to try to make Obama fail and look bad, not caring what harm it does to the American people. When people start losing their lives, especially wives, children, it won't be funny will it? When wrong is done to people, sometimes they don't care who's fault it is. They just start shooting. They should have traded that group for a corporate loophole at least. Why should politicians deny hard working Americans their jobs and benefits to save loopholes and unfair taxes for the corrupt super rich who buy politicians, and whose corruption brought this country down in the first place.

For Republicans it's always about how much Corporate Money they can line their pockets with.
The people in the worse low income states like Tennessee,Mississippi,Kentucky,are too dumb,ignorant,and/or uneducated to realize that those same Republicans they keep re-electing in their states wouldn't pee on them if they were on fire unless paid to do so.
They prefer them dumb and ignorant to keep voting for them.That's why the literacy rates in red states is so bad and why they take more in Federal Government Welfare than they give by way of Federal Income taxes.
