I had a family member go to the emergency room with back pain and inability to walk properly recently.
Took a few back xrays, in emergency room a couple hours.
Something like $1,500.00 for a few back xrays. Something that should normally cost about $200.00.
I was pissed.
Yep I am. Freedom of choice to choose the insurance plan that fits personal needs.
"Because of it The U.S. citizens are paying more for theirs to subsidize the Medical Industrial Complex and enhance their bottom lines to make up for the lower costs in all those other countries."
High medical cost are the result of those who seek health care with no insurance or funds to privately pay. There are gov't sponsored programs already in place to take care of those. Hospitals charge more to the people who self pay or their private insurance company to take up the financial loss of non payers and low gov't sponsored payment sshedules. A private insurance company has a higher pay schedule for care than medicaid has.
Another thing
I will bitch all I want.
I thought I caught a rancid whiff of booby.
Is that you booby, you loincloth chomping imbecile?
