Step aside. Do not get involved.
No way would I do neighborhood watch or prevent a crime taking place.
The other innocent victims are on their own.
Had Zimmerman just stayed in his vehicle and requested assistance after being told to basically "stand down", there would be no fight, death, or case. Sure, Trayvon had on the hoodie and all but, there was no call of burglary or suspicious activity from a black kid in a hoodie at all. He was on his way to his dad's place with a bag of skittles and his cell phone...no gun, knife, or drugs on him. He had smoked some weed, though, but how many kids do smoke weed? LOTS.
All things being equal, this whole deal is a result of him disobeying a direct order of higher authority...period. My opinion has nothing to do with a white guy killing a black kid. Rather, he profiled Trayvon and engaged him...after being told to stop. There's no way around that as far as I'm concerned...and he really should be convicted.
Now, if that kid was just lurking around and looking into people's homes, harassing people, or appeared to be selling drugs, then he had every right to engage him. Zimmerman should not be in trouble right now and Trayvon should still be alive. This whole thing is pitiful.
