Of course they are. The IRS is under liberal control.

The tea partiers as usual are exaggerating their importance.

Looks to me like this is only to determine how the taxes will be handled based on the application and organization. While I have nothing against the TEA Party, you gotta wonder these days with them hating the current tax inconveniences. It does stand for Taxed Enough Already after all. Not saying it's cool...just sayin'.
