One of my most memorable moments in sports...I couldn't believe this was happening...do you sports fans remember this?

I never even knew about that. What a great moment, and I love the scoreboard announcement posted after the "play".

Todd - It was the big sports news item of 1976...of course you were only 7 or 8 years old then and wouldn't remember it but since I'm a bit older, it was something that was a shock to everyone...those were mixed up years at that time with almost everyone being upset with the Viet Nam War and our involvement in it, but to take it to the best loved American Sport was even more shocking...
