I use to think just like you until I found out by observing a few people that dressed nice, had the nice car, and wore all the jewelry. Many of these people you are talking about had good paying jobs and was use to having nice things. Just because you lost your job, and have to turn to food stamps for the first time in your life doesn't mean you have to look like a bum or pitiful. There is nothing wrong with wearing the things you purchased while you were working. If looking nice is a problem for others, then that's their problem.

When someone does come into need of money and decide to sell something vultures will only give you pennies on the dollar for the product.

Lilspeedy, I work for a wholesaler, I see the fraud everyday, the liars, cheats and the down right lazy, you have to decided that I am stereotyping, that's you playing the race card.

We have one lady who comes in once a month to buy a 10 pound bag of peanuts to feed the squirrels, she uses food stamps, another just the other day, bought 8 pumpkins to decorate her yard, she used food stamps, not exactly starving people, in fact, In all the years, I have yet to see anyone who looks like they are starving.

Like the old saying goes, A Government that can give you everything you want, can take away everything you have.

Plan and simple fact, When Obama took office there were 23 million on food stamps: There are now 100 million on food stamps, and another 8 million collecting disability.
People are taking the easy way out.

My company made record profits, this is artificial, many companies are making record profits off the food stamp program, the money has run out, the scales have tipped and within a few years, there will be even more people out of work.
Many people have forgotten the basics, live within your means and save for a rainy day.

This is simple economics, as jobs become scarce, more people will be on public assistance. This has nothing to do with who's in the office of the president. The need for food stamps has gone up steadily since 2000, and even more since the crash of our economy. Wars cost money, and will wreck the economy of any country.
