Raise the minimum wage.
In a society where it is desired for each individual to provide for themselves a wage necessary to do that is required. Not everyone who makes minimum wage lives at home with a parent.
The living wage for one adult in the state and county where I live (Living Wage      $9.74).

Who? the hell think raising minimum wage is a bad way of helping people. You can't expect them to give charity and help people out with food stamps and subsidize their income. So WTF!;)
