Unemployment was not meant to be a social welfare program. It was originally meant to be a temporary income for a specified length of time.
If someone is unemployed at the end of the intended time laid out under unemployment benefit rules they have the option to transition to welfare programs.
The democrats and their lackey news reporters are attempting to trash the republicans in the same way as their arguments for social welfare programs.
Obama and democrats are touting a robust recovery and that the recession is over. They get out there and brag about how the unemployment numbers are going down and the millions of jobs they have created.

I did not hear Obama call out the cost of living cuts to the military and veterans in the budget bill he just signed. Where was his I will not negotiate to any cuts in military cost of living.
