A Person of Contrast

Published:

Carroll O'Connor, better known as Archie Bunker, on the hit TV comedy, “All in the Family”, was one of the highest-rated shows on television from 1971 to 1979. Archie played the role of a conservative bigot. He poked fun at all the hypocrisy, misinformation, and bigotry that goes on with some so-called conservatives. Archie made the role very believable, but in reality Carroll O’Conner was the very opposite. Many of the so-called Far-Right still try to group people with labels such as Liberal, Moderate, Conservative, Ultra-conservative, Christian Conservative, Right-wing, Evangelical Christian Conservative, and tea-party, but when that person votes their conscience, they are just an American. The 2008 and 2012 elections was a good example of what can happen when people vote their conscience and not an agenda. While dealing with the loss of his son, O'Connor underwent heart surgery in 1998 to clear blockage in a cardiac artery, and in June 2001, O'Connor suffered a fatal heart attack. May he rest in peace.

True true, LiLSpeedy ,it's so easy for them to see fictional character and identify and make believe ,but want nothing to do with reality .The Professor said "people who care about the least among will be rewarded for their generosity". ;)
