Say I mow your lawn and you pay me $50. That $50 might be seen as a certificate of performance. Why? Income redistribution always fails. There will always be those who are lazy, have little or no ambition other than to exist day to day. By redistributing income from those who are ambition, have vision, and wish to better their lives to those who do not, you destroy the incentive that exists to excel and achieve. What is the reward?

Every society that has attempted 'income equality' only succeeded in creating a rich and powerful political ruling class and the serfs who serve them.
