Not long after I first got online, I discovered the now-defunct MSN Groups and enjoyed participating in them. I still have some great online friends I "met" there; one friend whom I've since lost touch with lived in Dearborn - she was a pagan, but very conservative otherwise. (I called her my "Republican witch" friend) She said the city had severely restricted the time the churches could play their bells on Sunday mornings, but allowed the Islam call to prayer five times/day and it infuriated her. She said the bells were pretty and didn't bother her but the adhan was annoying and way louder than the city ordinances permitted, but the local govt. was too intimidated to enforce the laws.
