Common crap. Using a number line is fundamental in teaching/learning the concept of numbers.   Using it as part of a linear methodology to solve a subtraction problem is kinda stupid, I agree with the engineering mom.

Imagine doing a Fourier analysis or Laplace transform, having learned to subtract using a number line....HAHAHA! common BS!

The federal government can not force common core onto school districts.

wtg Mom, many schools are no longer teaching Handwriting, if you can't write it, how will you read it?
Teach your kids and grandkids, Handwriting skills.

I agree that this entire system of "Common Crap" is just another example of the liberals attempt at brainwashing our children while making them even dumber than the average kids from other countries.
No rhyme or reason for any of their so called approved methods.
