New IE7 Beta 3 Available

Last Edited: June 29, 2006, 2:03 pm

For those using the new Microsoft browser, IE7 Beta 3 is now available.  It seems to have some very nice improvements.

By the way, the new Beta finally removed some annoying bugs that caused Lottery Post to display strangely.

Thanx for the link Todd. I just downloaded it. The only feature I don't like is that my" favorites" column on the left has to be clicked on to view. The positive side of that is the favorites now have a brief discription just to the right of it, considering I have so many, it helps me indentify what they are at a glance. However, it has more width, so that means the LP or any other page on the net is squeezed to the right, and means less of a picture on my screen. I guess I'll just have to get used to it and click on the favorites to view, and when I'm done, unclick it.

Overall, I like it mostly because of the extra protection.

Is it me or am I seeing things?
Since installing the new browser, I've noticed that the text I'm writing now is not black anymore. It has a purplish tint to it. I thought that it might have just been here at the blog, but I noticed it on other forums as well.

I don't see any purplish text on my copy of IE7. Check your monitor settings. The new IE setup takes some getting used to, but over time you will come to like it much better than IE6. I find it painful to go back to IE6 now.
