The dr.s aren't the problem, it is an institutional problem, they don't have a mission statement or a goal oriented organization that has the primary basis or incentive to serve those patients..............THEY GET THEIR GD PAYCHECKS AND PENSIONS NO MATTER WTF THEY DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jarasan I agree, the greed and corruption today knows no boundaries and I would love to see the unions destroyed. Many, many years they were needed and looked out for workers, now like everything else it is for themselves and their political cronies. What has been exposed appears to be the tip of the iceberg and is outrageous. President just gives more redundant lip service. If he truly felt ....what was it "will not be tolerated" heads would have already rolled, he just feigns to be indignant. I am beginning to wonder does he even know what to do?

I have questioned a VA doctor on their procedural methods of doing things regarding exams. They told me that is what they are instructed to do and that is what they needed to follow.
So my assumption after being told that was either do as told or lose their job.

The Va is run the same as the military. There are laid out guidelines to follow and that is what is to be done or else. Anyone that has been in the military knows this. It is a chain of command where you do not challenge your superior.

Jap I usually agree with you but the VA is comprised mostly of civilian workers and administrated like nothing you would ever want running a health service.   Walter Reed and Bethesda Navy are run more like a military organizations with officers in charge.

It's a huge systemic problem that begins and ends with government bureaucracy. This is where our healthcare industry is headed. A bloated, over regulated, no one held accountable federal bureaucracy. Obama will continue to give it lip service as he does all crisis issues facing the American people during his administration. Fact is, this is owned by the unions, and Obama is paid for by the unions and George Soros.

If this isn't a wake up call for those in charge, then all our healthcare in the US is doomed.
