Texas Led Border Security Surge Imminent!

Texas Governor Rick Perry, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, and Speaker Joe Straus today directed the Texas Dept. of Public Safety (DPS) to immediately begin law enforcement surge operations on the Texas/Mexico border. The DPS will attempt to combat the flood of illegal immigration into the state in the absence of adequate federal resources to secure the border. State leaders have authorized approximately $1.3 million per week to fund border security operations.

What's sad is that Texas and Arizona wanted about $100 million to beef up their borders and were denied by Obama/ Federal government. Now Obama just recently signed a bill for an additional $1.4 BILLION to provide housing/food/schooling/health care to the children crossing the border.
This administration had issues spending $100 million to protect our borders and yet has no problems throwing another $1.4 billion into a yearly budget that is now approaching $3 billion.
