The thing is, there needs to be a balance between what we think of as "Socialism" and what we have come to know as "Capitalism" - because unregulated greed is exactly what is happening right now. The article is correct - the gap is widening at an almost unheard of pace (except right before the fall of every "empire" there has ever been - and if you don't think the corporate conglomeration is an empire, you've been hiding under a rock!). We will either see a revolution with those pitchforks soon, or the entire thing is going to implode and come crashing down on itself - because without American consumers to consume, those same greedy CEOs will have to rely on foreign sales increasingly.
