They really went through some tough times losing their guitarist to alcohol poisoning, then their drummer getting his arm cut off in a wreck. I have to really admire them for holding it together and going forward. Mutt Lange really did a good job producing them ... but music changed. Now I don't care for current stuff except New Age which would probably put most people to sleep.

Journey was a really good group. I listen to them now and admire the note control in Steve Perry's voice. Not much in the looks department, but awesome voice. Same for the lead singer of the Scorpions... awesome voice.

Liked rock from its early roots into acid rock in the 60's, hard rock in the 70's and through big hair, spandex clad head-bangers in the 80's.

In the 90's I began gravitating into New Age where I've pretty well remained.

Exception is now that Atlanta has NO oldies stations to listen to while driving, so am learning appreciation for country which has some really funny songs if someone can listen long enough past their mama going to prison and dog dying. ;D Country music overtones are not as irritating as many pop songs are engineered to have.

Can only take so much of bellowing screechers record companies merchandised as the greatest thing since indoor plumbing, and which "at the office" DJ's play ad nauseam. Note control isn't everything if it sounds like fingernails raking a chalkboard.
