Microsoft pulls the plug on Windows 98, 98 Second Edition and Millennium Edition today: no more bug fixes, no more technical support, no more nothing.

Before people start revolting in protest, consider this: It's Microsoft's business decision to make, and it makes sense.

It doesn't matter, W2K Pro is the best OS they have, I plan on using it until the cows come home.

i stopped getting win 98 S ed support from them this past winter for some reason or another. While i still have that pc it's old and useless for the Internet today. It does not have the speed or memory to handle the multitasking tasks found on the Internet. With java scripts and most isps using video feeds you need a newer pc and operating system to keep up. now it's dual core technology. Some pc's are even liquid cooled awesome.

Yes, the new PC's are really awesome and one of these days.....

Also found out that once Vista is released they'll discontinue security updates for XP in 2 years after that.

Exception they will continue to offer those updates and support for XP Pro for 7 years.

That's really great because something told me I just had to have that OS last computer I built. Life is good!!
