Good for the Mall. Nothing worse than a bunch of weirdos trying to convert people who are there just to shop and be left alone.

“The mall manager verified that prayer is not allowed at the mall because this is private property,”

If it is private property require admittance to the mall as a registered member who has filled out a detailed membership application.
Other wise if the doors are open to the public it is considered a public space.

Does the mall forbid religious clothing or religious jewelery? Do they sell bibles in the mall?

Really, onlymoney? Who were they trying to convert? The women were in a circle, with their backs out to the public and said a private prayer.

One thing I just can't stand about people these days are those who think their eyeballs are going to fry if they see a religious symbol. Freedom of religion is not hiding your religious beliefs behind closed doors. There is no freedom 'from' religion. The 1A was written as the government may make no laws RESTRICTING the free exercise of religion - which is what we are seeing more and more of these days.

Granted, this was private property. However, where do you draw the line? Will they next ban the wearing of a crucifix? I wear one every day. It is a cherished gift from my father. I'll be danged if someone is going to make me take it off.

@ Piaceri, the following is an excerpt from the article.."The security guard told her they’d had a problem with a previous religious group trying to proselytize shoppers".

At any rate, trust me, I've had to ask many door to door heaven sellers to tell their buddies to stop ringing my bell before, they're annoying. I don't care what you believe in, but leave me out of it and stop pushing it down my throat. I don't believe in that stuff.

You don't see me knocking on people's door bothering them.b

The way our country is now - prayers are needed - can't hurt. Pray ladies and gentlemen!    In Jesus's name - Amen.

In the Biblical days the Pharisees prayed to be seen of men but now they are called hypocrites.
