It's all or nothing...hate the man with me or get the hell away from me. That's a dangerous mindset. If we look at where the economy was when he first took office and follow all the 'real' numbers from the 'right' sources we can see that steady, albeit slow, progress has been made the entire time this man has been in office. Yet, they say the country is going in the wrong direction. I'm struggling with it. The Affordable Care Act was to be the worse thing this country could ever experience and was going to completely destroy America. Hmmmm, I dare anyone to go and pull up the real numbers on how it's faring. Insurance companies are turning profits, jobs have been created, and people are covered for decent premiums.
A very good friend of mine was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a while back and couldn't be happier, right now today, that he was encouraged to maintain insurance. He's self-employed and he's a really great guy...and he leans (R) with (I) tendencies for the most part. He went through the whole dropping his insurance thing just because of the 'being forced' peer pressure. We had a fund raiser for him at a car show just this past weekend as we all love classic muscle cars, race cars, etc. and plan to have another one just to help with additional costs. The best part is that the cancer didn't spread and it's operable...they're gonna remove tumor. He'll have a new lease on life and can enjoy driving his '67 GTO again.
Not everything that stings is designed to hurt you...though it may seem that way to a one track mind. The funny part is that there's somebody here that's glad they were 'forced' to also get or maintain their insurance...I just know it. If you don't care to remember anything else here, remember this: YOU ONLY GET ONE HEALTH...TAKE CARE OF IT.
