I can so relate to this. I am a graduate of the University of Georgia and was the only Black in 98% of my classes. It is the way one carries themselves that will determine whether you are accepted or rejected. I had somewhat of an advantage over my classmates. Even though I was still young I had been in the military and experienced things that they read about in books or saw on television. The military made me very disciplined and taught me how to adapt to new situations. But, I had to first present myself friendly and as time went on I developed friendships that has lasted until this day. I had no bad experiences while attending UGA.
