Bullet number one is very interesting. More people are going to jail while crime rates have fallen. Sounds to me like they're trying to generate income, America, but there's still a problem. They're keeping these people in jail longer which means it costs more to retain them due to increased feeding and housing costs. I don't get it. Less crime, more people in jail, increased sentences, and increased overall cost.

Must be some Republicans on this deal....numbers make no sense what so ever.

Many of the correctional institutions are being privatized. There is big money in housing criminals for longer periods of time. Follow the money and it will lead you straight to some of the members of Congress.
