Mega Millions jackpot increases to $25 million

Mega Millions

The jackpot in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery grew to $25 million dollars after none of the tickets sold for last night's $17 million dollar drawing matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball.

The next drawing is Friday.

There were four second-prize winners: 1 from Illinois, 2 from New York and 1 from Ohio.  Each ticket matched all five lotto numbers but not the Mega Ball number to win $175,000.

Twelve players matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number for a $5,000 prize.

The winning numbers from yesterday's drawing were 14, 27, 32, 34 and 40.  The Mega Ball number was two.

The Texas Megaplier was 4.
