A single California Lottery ticket purchased in Shasta Lake hit all six winning numbers in Saturday night's SuperLotto Plus game.

At the time of the draw, the jackpot was the largest in the nation at $76 million.

The winning ticket was purchased from the Circle K at 4833 Shasta Dam Boulevard.

The winning numbers are 14, 23, 24, 25, 44, and the Mega number is 18.

Also, four other tickets matched five of the six winning numbers and are each worth $29,473.  Those tickets were purchased in Culver City, Los Angeles, San Jose, and Floriston.

Employees at the Circle K store in Shasta Lake are waiting for the big winner to claim the jackpot.  Shasta Lake is a small town that's home to about 10,000 people.

"We got a call (Sunday) night from someone asking what do they do if they are the winner," store manager Rachel Heckler said today.

Nothing more conclusive about a winner has been heard.

Residents of the town eight miles north of Redding are eager to know the winner's identity.

"Everybody knows everyone here, and everyone is excited to see if it's anyone they know," said Roxanne Crane, the convenience store's assistant manager.

Lottery officials confirmed that the Circle K was the only business to sell a winning ticket for the $76 million jackpot.

The business owner, Colvin Oil Co. of Grants Pass, Ore., is entitled to $380,000 for selling the ticket.

It's up to store officials whether they'll share some of that amount with the Shasta Lake store's dozen employees, lottery officials said.

Crane said excited employees came to the store early Sunday to see if anyone had claimed the prize.

"People have been coming in all day to check their lottery tickets. There has been lots of excitement all day," Crane said.

As of Sunday night, the winner had not come forward, Crane said.

Once a person comes forward, lottery officials are not obligated to release the name of the winning ticket holder.

The winning numbers are 14, 23, 24, 25, 44, and Mega number 18.

The jackpot winner has 180 days to claim the prize. After that, the money would go toward the lottery's education fund.

In Southern California, there was another California Lottery winner, as a ticket purchased in East Los Angeles won the quarter-million-dollar Fantasy 5 jackpot.  The ticket — sold at the Chinatown Express located at 5201 Whittier Boulevard — matched all five winning numbers of 21, 4, 8, 37 and 28 and is worth $287,781 to the lucky winner.

I wonder if California will pay the winner with an IOU?

PartyCongrats to the winner. I was really eyeing the jackpot but I guess the person was first in line before me.

This ticket was claimed by 15 teachers and staff from the local school district. It is awesome for them. Sad for those of us who chose not to play this year :(  But I'm happy for my friends.

I hope the employees at this place read about the employees at the Mobil service station in Wadsworth, Illinois.

How can it sad?  You invested nothing and you lost nothing.  Besides, you still have MegaMillions to play.
