That would be great if Louisiana added MegaMillions, especially with the price of Powerball going up.  I remember when it was getting close to $500million, I was tempted to drive to Texas to get tickets.

I use to have an apartment in Elgin, glad those days are behind me.

Elgin is a quiet town, but in New Orleans major business were not too far from our home.

When I hear Loozianna, I think of fried crawdads. I eat em like popcorn.

I'd go down there just for the Cajun music and the crawdads around the Breaux Bridge and Henderson area.

I hope them crawdads don't taste like oil now.

I miss the food so much.Unhappy

I lived in Louisiana my whole life, around New Orleans, Lake Charles, and now Baton Rouge.  I hope MegaMillions does get added, a good alterative to PowerBall after they raise the price to $2.

I think you can pretty much count on it.

A lot of people are gonna play less PB or cut it out all together when the price increase kicks in.

And I doubt that PB will even care cuz they'll still make the same even if they lose 50% of their former players.

More people are playing the lottery now because of hard economic times but they don't have the money to pay more for it than they were, so it remains to be seen if this move will backfire on PB.

It may turn out that Mega Millions benefits from it more than PB.

They should add it. We're supposed to go visit family members next summer(Lord says the same) and I'm going to buy a MM ticket from down there if they they add it.

I hope you are right.  The Powerball price going up is going to impact me in a big way.  As I've posted before, I run a lottery pool at my office in which we buy a mix of Powerball and Lotto tickets every payday.  We currently buy 7 Powerball and 6 Lotto.  We haven't won big yet the best we've one on one pool being a little over $100.  When the price goes up, I'm going to have to either up the price of membership or reduce the number of tickets I buy for the pool.  I plan to put it to the a vote of the members and am not sure which way they will go.  If MegaMillions comes in, which it won't before the price increase, I could switch.

              Dilemmas dilemmas.
