    Crying  Say it isn't so........

Yeah, gave up... been 4 weeks or so.  I still check to see if my numbers come up (remembered when I played I would only do one line)  Instead, I buy a extra MM ticket.  Actually, got the megaplier... won $8 bucks last night=)  Woot Woot!!

I went to Illinois yesterday and bought a Powerball scratch off ticket and won $5 and a free Powerball ticket (without the powerplay option) so now I have the chance to win it in two states.

Hmmm, looks like only a little over 15.5% of players played the Power Play option. I guess I'm in the minority.

But I know if I was one of those 42 players who got 4+1, I'd sure be glad to be one of the seven of them who spent the extry buck to get 40k instead of 10k.

And even as unlikely as it is, you're waaaaay more likely to hit 4+1 (1 in 648,976) than the Jackpot (1 in 175,223,510).

            Right on Ridge!

To me, it seems crazy NOT to play the Power Play, or even The Megaplier in MegaMillions.

While it's true The PP costs an extra buck, I wouldnt want to be someone that heard these words:"If you had spent a dollar more, that one million dollars you won would've become two million."  Knowing you didnt win an extra million by not spending an additional dollar has to take away from some of the euphoria one surely would feel by having won a million bucks.

About playing the lottery --  You will lose more than you win. Until you hit a jackpot.  Then everything changes!

who's going to win this time? a califorian or a new yorker?

I believe your predictions are correct. You could buy my tickets for a mill, and make a  possible 150% profit.

Except it's only "an extra buck" if you only buy ONE line.

I will never hear "If you had spent a dollar more, the one million dollars you won would've become two millions." because I always buy at least five lines when I play and I don't listen to other people.

*I already hear it so don't say it.  "Some people say you're crazy is you buy more than one line."

One thing for sure, it won't be someone who only thought about buying a ticket.

Wow, Ronnie. Spending $164/wk. for a shot on this particular game is pretty brave. Gotta give it to ya, though...you're much braver than I'll ever be. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of returns are you seeing on your expense? I mean, are you averaging 2-3 numbers on the same line at least? I'm just really curious...not trying to be nosey or anything like that.

In his thread in the Discussion Forum he usually post a list of the 41 combinations he's playing plus the one bonus number for both MM and PB (He's actually taking a shot at both games).  So if you're just curious and don't want to appear nosey you can get them and figure out for yourself how well he's doing.
