They make it appear like as if they are doing players a favor while they know it's all b.s. I would rather they just come out and say Effective July 14, 2013 the ticket price of Illinois Lotto doubles. There shall be drawings on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Average jackpots shall be higher because it will cost you double what it costs you now. Have a nice day! It is difficult to understand why lottery returns 50 cent for every $1 spent. LOL

But now the increases per rollover have only been $150,000. Now Illinois Lotto is just like Hoosier and Ohio Classic Lotto, 1 play per buck. Now let's see if the jackpot climbs like Ohio's. I do like the shift from Wednesday to Thursday as that move means I can have a hope and a dream everyday of the week, with Sunday being my day to dream of what I would do with the highest jackpot on offer for the upcoming week (actually, I don't really do that since the jackpot amount only matters to the one holding the winning ticket).
While I'm not crazy about the new terms and conditions... they had "to do something"... this game was sliding into oblivion (just like my lotto bets ).

So getting 1 set of numbers for a dollar don't matter to me. I'll still give the Illinois lottery $1.00, 3 times a week. All you need is 1 ticket to dream. I also like the idea of matching 2 numbers for $1.00 payout. I'll get to play for free in the next drawing.

| My usual $25 MM ticket Thrifty. And for $25 I get 25 lines. lol. I would be happy with 5 lines for $25. It doesnt matter how big or small the jackpot is. I am a regular player. Regular players are winners. | | |

By comparison, the Missouri lottey sends out questionnaires about proposed games. Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.
There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

Nice gimmick, if players get paid for not hit anything surely they'll play the Extra Shot again. I called the Illinois lottery when it stafrted and asked them how many balls were in the Extra Shot bowl and they had to ask around until they found someon who knew - 25- I'm not kidding. They're probably hoping that by having 2 draws a day for the Lucky Day Lotto and changing the Lotto to $1 per game will bring in more money. Well, now I'm stuck between the rock and the hard place. When Lucky Day changed to 2x/day, I quit playing and updated my Lotto charts, to play that game instead. I don't know what to do now. Maybe I'll quit playing altogether. I liked the way Lotto was with 2 plays for $1. I would've been happy with a smaller jackpot prize of $2 million. If I wanted the bigger prizes, I'd play Mega or Powerball.

THRIFTY, Hopefully Illinois will do what NY did but I'm not so sure this Northstar company would ever make such a move. I will give them this, though, 'til now, 0, 1 or 2 hits paid nothing. Now if you played the Extra Shot- and have it (it's only a QP) hitting nothing pays $5. So if you have the Extra shot and hit 0 or 1 you get paid something (0 pays more than 1) and hiting 2 is a push, you win $1. On Thursdays and Sundays the biggest thing going was Lucky Day Lotto with a jackpot starting at $100,000. So this leaves that for Sundays. Tonight is the first draw with the new rules, jackpot is $2.5M, let's see if it grows as promised. I doubt it and don't think it will get near MM or PB. I'm still expecthing them to add a Sunday draw. The biggest jackpot since May with the old rules was $6.2M in early July. Good Luck all.
