Maybe I'll quit playing altogether. I liked the way Lotto was with 2 plays for $1. I would've been happy with a smaller jackpot prize of $2 million. If I wanted the bigger prizes, I'd play Mega or Powerball.

exactly, believe it or not there are many people who would be perfectly content to win 2-5 million on a state lotto drawing of which whose odds are better than those aforementioned country wide gazillion dollar winning payouts. no need to hide and hire lawyers and accountants with a paltry 2-5 million dollar win. virtually no publicity so you will go unhounded by the masses. you still have your powerbore and mega millions to toss around if you want those, but no one needs100 million+ to get by. i get a charge out of people who won't play unless it's 200 million or more. they are lucky to play 10 times a year thus limiting their overall chances of winning something.

I think to increase the jackpot prize they should attract more players instead of increasing the price of the ticket. Even though they increase the price if 2 or more players will hit the jackpot it will be the same the prize will be smaller for each player.
