Rebecca P. Hargrove, President and CEO of the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation, has been unanimously elected and is the first female President of the World Lottery Association (WLA).

"Rebecca's leadership and vision have created an exceptional lottery organization in Tennessee that has provided billions of dollars in support of education initiatives in the state," said Susan Lanigan, Chair of the Tennessee Lottery Board of Directors, "and those traits, along with her more than 30 years of lottery industry experience, will be an incredible asset to the World Lottery Association. We are so proud to see her recognized by such a prestigious organization."

The WLA is a member-based organization with over 140 government-authorized and licensed lottery organizations from more than 80 countries on six continents. Its mission is to advance the interests of state-authorized lotteries through a variety of programs that foster relationships and establish best practices for lotteries across the globe. It also acts as an international forum "where experience and creative ideas relating to future development of lotteries operating for the public benefit can be exchanged... and to support its members in achieving their vision for their communities."

"This is an incredible honor," said Ms. Hargrove. "I appreciate the support from WLA members around the world and look forward to this opportunity and challenge."

Ms. Hargrove has held several leadership positions within WLA, including Senior Vice President and Chair of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee. In her role as CSR Chair, Ms. Hargrove led the WLA's work in steering responsible gaming practices, which is a top priority in Tennessee.

"Corporate Social Responsibility encompasses a broad range of programs to reinforce the vital position lotteries hold in our communities, and I'm proud to be part of the development and maintenance of such programs," said Ms. Hargrove.

Well, on the bright side, the WLA has no legal authority over anything. Everyone who dislikes her can be relieved now that she has ascended to a higher plane where she can't do...whatever she was doing that made people dislike her.

I remember him going on about her, but I never did go read about her, just enjoyed his rants.

I decided I would Google her and found a DIFFERENT Rebecca Hargrove, Rebecca L. instead of Rebecca P.

So, Ridge, wherever you are, here's one Rebecca Hargrove that's NOT a dragon lady.  She sings opera and isn't even a fat lady.  She drop-dead gorgeous, though.

Just 4 for our state.................. But I am going to do you one better................

Currently LP has Tennessee with a letter grade of "D". https://www.lotterypost.com/lottery-report-card.asp

This is our states main homepage that was upgraded less than 6 months ago:

http://www.tnlottery.com/?fs=FullPageView

***no cash values listed for PB/MM/LA............2nd line of games are RNG

Here's another treat for scratch off fans to give you an idea of the TN Lottery under her leadership. I have attached the most current page with the newest $10 Silver Bells Holiday game.( Click on Learn More)

http://www.tnlottery.com/games/instant-games/10

Now find out how many remaining prizes there are left ? * Hint; look under prizes remaining but there is a twist for finding the silver bells game

NOW, HERE'S TEXAS LOTTERY and their new $10 Holiday game called "Season Greetings"

https://www.txlottery.org/export/sites/lottery/Games/Scratch_Offs/index.html_635453095.html

Click on the "SEASONS GREETINGS" and look at the prizes remaining along with various info about that game.

Take it one step further, see those numbers  $250,000/4/1 in the prizes printed section. Click on the number 1 and see what that generates.

Now granted, TX generates so much more $$ than TN does but, we did set a record for sales earlier this year.

https://www.tnlottery.com/article/lottery-sets-new-record-sales-total-raised-education-crosses-45-billion

We save big $$ by going to the RNG according to Hargrove in a 2014 article:

https://www.nashvillepost.com/home/article/20474224/weve-had-a-great-decade

**look at her reply under the question  of disappointments, frustrations during the first 10 years

Just my 2 nickels worth on our fearless lotto leader
