Repeat winner says his "real" luck has nothing to do with the lottery
By Kate Northrop
EAGLE, Idaho — One man in Idaho has all the luck — he's won the lottery a total of 18 times over the last 30 years.
Will he make it to 20? An Idaho resident is on a hot lucky streak after he just recently netted his 18th significant win in the lottery.
"Does lightning strike 18 times?" the Idaho Lottery said in a social media post. "For Idaho Lottery player Robert Bevan... it just might."
Bevan is no stranger to the Idaho Lottery Winners Lobby. In fact, his first trip to Lottery offices was in 1997, when he won a top prize in the "Blazer Bucks" promotion that awarded seven 1997 Chevrolet 4-Door Blazers.
Over the span of three decades, Bevan has won several $1,000 prizes, multiple $5,000 prizes, various $20,000 prizes, one $200,000 prize, and now a $50,000 prize.
The most recent $50,000 win was the result of a $50 "$1,000,000 King" scratch-off game that he purchased at a WINCO in Eagle, which awarded him one of the five second-tier prizes.
But Bevan dismisses the idea that his success with the lottery is all about "luck." He doesn't view it as a game to beat.
"He says playing [the] lottery is simply something he and his wife have always done for fun together," the Lottery explained. "Stopping for gas. Picking up groceries. Grabbing a ticket along the way. It's become part of life."
Bevan and his wife are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this year, and he couldn't help but smile at the thought.
"My real luck is 40 years with the same amazing woman," he told Lottery officials.
The $50 "$1,000,000 King" scratch-off game, which launched in December 2025, awards two top prizes of $1 million, one of which has been claimed. There are also two out of five second-tier prizes of $50,000 and four out of nine third-tier prizes of $10,000 remaining.
The overall odds of winning any prize in the game are 1 in 2.87.

Lucky man!

He has denied that title 🤣🤣🤣

I believe this is true for so many of us, maybe we are stopping at the wrong places 🤣🤣🤣
Congratulations 🎉 on the win.
Aside: I would like to see a spread sheet of the weekly or monthly lottery budget or money spent 🤔
Wow, good for him, keep the streak going

Most of those are Pick 3. He must spend an enormous amount of money on the lottery. If he's ahead, it's not by much.
* It's the luck of the....
I need him to rub some of that on me!
*pause*
It's all about picking the right woman and picking the right ticket.
The $200K in 2014 was a decent win.
Pretty certain he walked away with $100K plus after taxes.
If so far he's spent more than $100K on tickets, that's very impressive 🤔
Amazing story. I just wonder what his secret is?
Psssst
Word has it that the common denominator linking all these lottery wins is none other than ,..... You guessed correct if you said ,...,. liverwurst sandwiches with all the accouterments .
Hey, just trying to help another poor unlucky lottery player because of my good heart.
Have a shaggy day!

Congrats to him!!

Go for #20!!
Spreading is the secret. He does not buy one or two tickets that is obvious. We would like to know what his daily budget is however.
Interesting how they list $600 & $400 wins?? In Maryland we are not taxed at that level so the state would not know about my $600 or less hits
